Guided Reading
Guided Reading happens daily in Saint Cecilia's. The teachers use a range of strategies to ensure that the children are challenged while maintaining a reading for pleasure ethos. While some groups read with an adult, other groups use ICT to access online reading, others read for pleasure using their Accelerated Reader book. During this time, children who need to quiz can do so while, occassionally, children write book reviews and complete activities based on ther reading books or targets.
