Climate & Sustainability

Our Climate Ambassadors

Our Climate Ambassadors are proud representatives of our school Eco Committee. They have shown enthusiasm and dedication to making our school a more sustainable and greener place to learn. They meet regularly with Mr Hughes, our Sustainability Lead, to help out with our various Eco initiatives, showing that they really are ambassadors for spreading the message of how to look after our local community and the planet that we live on.

Our Climate Ambassadors at Work!

Our Sustainability Lead, Mr Hughes, applied to The Woodland Trust for trees to plant in our Junior grounds. We chose the Green Lane side of the school where we have a small grassed area. Our main objective is to enhance biodiversity, create outdoor learning opportunities, improve air quality and provide shaded, peaceful areas for pupils and wildlife. We aim to develop pupils' understanding of sustainability, foster environmental responsibility and build a greener, more engaging school environment that benefits both the school and the wider community for years to come.

Our Climate Action Plan

A climate action plan (CAP) is there to help us embed sustainability into every part of our education setting. It's about turning big ideas into clear, manageable steps.

This Climate Action Plan provides a framework for our school to build sustainable habits, reduce our carbon footprint, and engage our entire community in protecting the environment.
