SAT's WEEK TIMETABLE
PE Lessons
Our PE days are currently Thursday and Friday for this half term.
Homework:
English homework: On Monday, a Reading Comprehension or SPaG will be set. This is due on Wednesday.
Maths homework: On Wednesday, maths on Freckle.com or Maths.co.uk will be set. This is due on Friday.
The Freckle class code is lornek.
Spellings: Each Monday, the pupils will be tested on their weekly spellings.
New spellings will be on Spellingframe to be practised for the following week.
Reading: Please try your best to read four times a week for a gold star! Please bring reading books and reading diaries in every day!

We are Writers
This term, children are writing a discovery narrative based on the book - On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin.
We are writing flashback narratives and newspaper reports based on the book - A Story like the Wind
We are Historians
Children are loving learning all about World War II. The children have been engrossed in lessons, they have discovered all about rationing during the war, evacuation, the Holocaust and how Liverpool was affected during WWII.
We recently went on a trip into Liverpool City centre to Western Approaches. The children experienced what it was like to be in Liverpool during the war. We went into a real life bunker, looked at artefacts, decoded messages and had a walking tour of the city - we could see how buildings in the city were damaged by the war.
Children had a great experience of interviewing our special visitor who was evacuated during WWII. Children asked questions about rationing, evacuation and schooling.
We are Mathematicians
Children are working hard on the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Children are also working on fractions - adding/subtracting fractions with different denominators.
We love quizzing!
Every Friday children enjoy their retrieval quiz. Children answer questions that relate to lessons that they have covered that week as well as testing our memories from past learning!
We are Scientists
Children are learning all about living things and their habitats, they are looking at the different categories of classification.
We are Computational Thinkers
This term we have been coding, using VR headsets to discover more about our science topic - The circulatory system and we have been making progress using Google sites!
We Love PE!
We are learning all about football and athletics. We are learning all about dribbling and passing to each other accurately!
