Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic Social Teaching (CST) is at the heart of our Catholic school community. It teaches us how to live as Jesus showed us, by loving God, caring for others and working together to make the world a fairer and more peaceful place.

Through our curriculum and school life, children learn that every person is created in the image and likeness of God and is special, unique and deserving of dignity and respect. They explore how we can put our faith into action through kindness, compassion, forgiveness and service to others.

We encourage our children to recognise the needs of those around them, care for God's creation and stand alongside people who are vulnerable or in need. Through prayer, reflection and practical activities, pupils discover that even small actions can make a big difference.

By living out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, we aim to nurture caring, responsible and compassionate young people who follow Jesus' example and help build a world rooted in love, justice and peace.

We have strong links with Cafod who support us in teaching our children about the principles of Catholic Social Teaching through assemblies and workshops.
