Aimed at increasing the reading stamina of the children, Reading Plus is an IT-based program accessed by children in years 5 and 6.  The program allows the children to develop a better pace and stamina when reading.  The rationale for this is to allow children to achieve better SATs scores as the marks breakdown for a reading paper shows that the questions containing most marks are towards the end of the paper.  Reading Plus tracks the children as they progress through the program and allows them to earn points and trophies online.  The response from the children so far has been very positive while the impact has already been seen with increased readng comprehension scores.
